Telekom Kenya is All Set to Launch a New 3G Network

As per the reports Telekom Kenya is most likely to launch its 3G network by this July. Telekom Kenya actually got its 3G license in 2010. Currently the company is busy working on the necessary infrastructure required to support its 3G network.
Telekom Kenya has made it clear that once the 3G network is launched they will be able to offer faster data speeds which will be around 21 megabytes per second. Telekom has joined hands with ZTE Corporation for offering more internet services. Telekom has already invested around Sh4 billion for the development of its 3G network.
Telekom will be installing around 1,500 3G base stations throughout Kenya. Telekom Kenya's data market share was 15 percent during the last quarter of 2010 as it recorded 973,00 new customers.
